YAVAPAI CAPTURES 2011 NJCAA DIVISION I NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

Yavapai posted five consecutive victories to win the 2011 NJCAA Division I National Championship. The Roughriders scored wins over Pitt (3-1), McLennan (8-1), Talahassee (2-0), and Salt Lake (6-1 and 7-0) on their way to the title. Yavapai’s Estela Pinon was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Pitcher and MVP. joining Pinon on the All-Tournament Team from Yavapai were Sierra Rodriguez, Vanessa House, and Brittany Keiser.
