Hernandez named NJCAA Men’s Soccer Division I Goalie of the Week
Colorado Springs, CO (September 28, 2011) – Arizona Western College’s Oscar Hernandez has been selected as the NJCAA Men’s Soccer Division I Goalie of the Week for games September 19th through the 25th.

OSCAR HERNANDEZ Oscar Hernandez (5′ 11″, 155 lbs.) shut out two of three opponents and backed Arizona Western to a 3-0 record last week. The freshman was perfect in a 6-0 blowout of South Mountain Community College and a 3-0 win over Gateway Community College. The only goal Hernandez gave up on the week came in a 3-1 victory over Mesa Community College. Hernandez totaled eight saves and .888 save percentage in the three wins. Looking to build on his 8-2 record in 2011, Hernandez was in the net for the No. 9 Matadors as they beat Scottsdale Community College, 3-1, yesterday; and will be between the pipes as the Matadors face Paradise Valley Community College Thursday & No. 5 Yavapai College Saturday. |
