Hernandez and Villa Named Men’s Soccer Players of the Week

Oscar Hernandez from AWC is the ACCAC Men’s Goalkeeper of the Week.

Hernandez stopped all 17 shots he faced last week as the Matadors won two road contests. He stopped 7 shots in a regulation time 2-0 win over Glendale, then corralled all 8 shots he faced in 105 minutes of work in a 1-0 OT win at Pima. 

Carlos Villa from Phoenix College is the ACCAC Men’s Soccer Player of the Week

Villa tallied 3 goals on the week, 2 in his team’s OT loss to Yavapai and another in a 1-0 win over South Mountain.
Villa attempted 10 shots in the 2 matches.
