Three ACCAC Men's Hoops Players Tabbed All-Americans — Eastern Arizona's Jeremy Long, Mesa's Ryan Rourke, and Glendale's Eric Bloom were each named NJCAA All-Americans. All-Americans

Glendale Earns District I Title, Moves on to National Championship Tourney — Glendale scored a 101-87 victory over Johnson County (KS) to capture the NJCAA District I Division 2 Championship and earn a spot in the NJCAA Division 2 National Championship Tournament. Glendale Captures Region 1 Division 2 Championship — In a tightly contested title game, Glendale scored a 67-62 victory over Chandler-Gilbert to capture the program's second consecutive Region 1 crown. Yavapai, Arizona Western to Meet for Region I Division 1 Title — Top-seeded Yavapai will host #3 seed Arizona Western on Saturday, March 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Championship game of the 2004 NJCAA Region 1 Division 2 Tournament. Yavapai earned its spot in the finals with a 93-78 victory over Eastern Arizona, while Arizona Western topped #2 seed Mesa 64-52 to advance to the title game. Complete Tournament Schedule/Results

Krueger, Brown Earn ACCAC's Top Honors — Yavapai's Bryson Krueger has been tabbed the 2004 ACCAC Player and Rookie of the Year, while Glendale's Howard Brown earned the Coach of the Year honor after leading the Gauchos to a 23-7 season. ACCAC Honors

Yavapai Leads Way with Three Honorees on All-Region Squad — Yavapai's Bryson Krueger and Akeem Price earned First Team honors and JR Reed was selected to the Second Team after the Roughriders took home the 2004 ACCAC Regular Season Championship with a 26-4 overall record.Region Honors

Fontenet Strikes Again as ACCAC Player of the Week —For the second time this season, Scottsdale's James Fontenet (left) earned ACCAC Player of the Week honors. He led the Artichokes to a pair of victories on the week by averaging 33 points per outing. More

Yavapai's Price Adds NJCAA Honor to ACCAC POW Award — Yavapai's Akeem Price has added the NJCAA's National Player of the Week award to his ACCAC weekly honor after the sophomore led the Roughriders to a pair of victories with a 26.5-point and 9-rebound average on the week. More

NJCAA & ACCAC Player of the Week: James Fontenet — Scottsdale's James Fontenet helped the Artichokes to a pair of victories in three games on the week, averaging over 24 points per game, to earn NJCAA National Player of the Week and ACCAC Player of the Week honors. More

Bloom Repeats as ACCAC Player of the Week — Glendale's Eric Bloom (right) becomes the first player to earn two Player of the Week honors during the 2003-2004 season. More

Freshman Soriano Earns POW Award — Stephen Soriano (left) of Central Arizona led the Vaqueros to a 2-1 record ion the week, twice netting over 20 points, to earn the ACCAC Player of the Week honor. More


ACCAC Honor Earned by Krueger — Bryson Krueger took home ACCAC Player of the Week honors after leading the Yavapai Roughriders to three victories on the week and averaging 24.7 points per game. More

Mesa's Rourke Selected ACCAC's Weekly Best — Ryan Rourke earned the Player of the Week honor after averaging 16.5 points in a pair of outings for the Thunderbirds. More

Noe Alonzo Tabbed ACCAC POW— South Mountain's Noe Alonzo (left) averaged 26.5 points and eight boards in two games on the week to earn ACCAC Player of the Week honors for the week ending Decembeer 13. More

Marshall Named NJCAA DI National Player of the Week — Mesa C.C.'s Fred Marshall (right) was tabbed by the NJCAA as the first Division I National Player of the Week for the 2003 season. More
