Ayanna Clark, of Central Arizona, and Alyssa Perez, of Pima, have been named ACCAC women's basketball Players of the Week in Divisions I and II respectively for the week of Jan. 27-Feb. 2.
For Clark, a 6-3 sophomore from Long Beach, Calif., and Long Beach Poly H.S., it was her fourth consecutive weekly honor and fifth overall. She pumped in an average of 24.0 points as CAC defeated Cochise, in which she had 27 points, and Pima, where she scored 21. She was 16-24 from the field (.667) and averaged 17.5 rebounds per game including 23 in the Cochise game. In addition, she had a total of four steals, two assists and two blocks.
For Perez, it was her first weekly honor of the season. In a win against Arizona and a loss to Central Arizona, she averaged 22.0 points. She also had a total of ten rebounds, eight steals and five assists. She is a 5-7 sophomore from Marana, AZ, and Marana H.S.
