Men's Basketball
Division I – Jalun Trent – Cochise – In two Cochise wins the sophomore from Baltimore, Md., and Upper Darby H.S. averaged 16.0 points, going 10-12 (.833) from the floor including 5-6 on three-pointers. He also added 15 total rebounds, 11 assists, three steals and three blocks.
Division II – Elijah Melendez – South Mountain – Over the course of three games the sophomore from Mesa, AZ, and Westwood H.S., averaged 17.0 points. He also added six rebounds, five steals and three assists.
Women's Basketball
Division I - Player of the Week – Miza Gilberto – Arizona Western – In three AZW wins the sophomore from Maputo, Mozambique, averaged 12.0 points. She also had a total of 20 rebounds, six assists, six steals and a blocked shot.
Division II Player of the Week – Jayla Johnson – Mesa – As MCC clinched the No. 1 seed in the Region I, Division II Tournament, the sophomore from Maricopa, AZ, and Maricopa H.S. earned her fourth weekly award by averaging 13.3 points as the T-Birds won four times. She also had a total of 26 rebounds, 12 assists, six steals and a block.
Softball – Div. I
Player of the Week – Lovey Kepa'a – Yavapai – The freshman from Wahiawa, Hawaii, and Lelehua H.S., hit .750 (9-12) with four home runs as YC won four lop-sided games. Three of her homers came in one game against Arizona Western. She drove in 13 and even walked three times.
Pitcher of the Week – Emily Dix – Yavapai – Pitched a total of nine innings, allowing no runs and only two hits. She struck out 18 over that span. She is a sophomore from Albuquerque, N.M., and Volcano Vista H.S.
Softball – Div. II
Player of the Week – Camryn Quilling – Chandler-Gilbert – The sophomore hit .667 (6-9) in four CGCC wins. She had four home runs and 16 RBIs in the Coyotes' four wins. Also added a double, six walks and scored seven times.
Pitcher of the Week – Ally Rily – Chandler-Gilbert – Saw action in all four CGCC wins with a total of 10.1 innings pitched. The freshman allowed a total of five earned runs, 14 hits and struck out two.
Baseball – Div. I
Player of the Week – Emilio Corona – Pima – Hit .550 (11-20) in six games with six home runs and 16 RBIs. He also had two doubles, two stolen bases and three runs scored. He is a sophomore from San Luis Obispo, Calif, and San Luis Obispo H.S.
Pitcher of the Week – Ryan Figueroa – South Mountain – In his only appearance he tossed 7.1 innings out shutout, hitless, ball against Eastern Arizona. He struck out ten with no walks. He is a sophomore from Hamilton H.S., in Chandler, AZ.
