Central Forces Game 7, Falls in Western District Title Game — Central fell to Lamar College 8-5 in the opener of the Western District Tournament before battling back to make the championship game out of the consolation bracket. Central defeated Western Nebraska 17-4 and Lamar 17-8. In the first championship game, Central kept from being eliminated with a 21-14 victory over Southern Nevada. The Region 18 Champion Southern Nevada then won 25-11 in the finals to advance to the NJCAA Division I National Championships.

Haase & Lind Tabbed Players of the Year, Shabansky Tabbed Coach of the Year — The NJCAA Region I coaches have selected Cochise's Anthony Haase and Central Arizona's Sam Lind the 2010 Co-Players of the Year. Haase posted a 12-2 recorn on the mound with a 1.30 ERA and 90 strikeouts. Lind batted .404 with 57 RBI, six homeruns and nine triples.
