Division II Baseball

Player of the Week – Taylor Darden – Mesa – In a pair of Mesa victories over Glendale he went 5-8 with two RBIs and a walk. He is a sophomore infielder from Coronado H.S. in Las Vegas, Nev.

Pitcher of the Week – Ryland Wilcox-Lewis – Glendale – The sophomore from Union H.S. in Casa Grande. AZ, pitched seven innings, giving up three hits, striking out three and walking one in a 2-0 win over Cochise.

Division I Softball

Player of the Week - Alexus Garza – Yavapai – As the Roughriders won four times she hit .500 (5-10) with three home runs and eight RBIs. She scored seven times, had three walks and stole a base. She is from Albuquerque, N.M.

Pitcher of the Week – Anahi Grijalva – Arizona Western - The freshman from Imperial, Calif., and Imperial H.S. won twice, over GateWay and Paradise Valley.  Over the two games she pitched eight innings, allowing one run on four hits while striking out nine and walking two.

Division II Softball

Player of the Week – Julia Ruble – South Mountain – In two games against Yavapai the freshman went 3-6 with a pair of doubles, a home run and two RBIs. She also walked twice and scored three runs.
