ACCAC goes 8-0 against non-conference foes

  ACCAC baseball got underway during the week with the conference playing eight games against out-of-state competition and winning them all.

  Central Arizona got off to a 4-0 start and showed its offensive muscle scoring 43 runs in the four contests, all against Colorado Northwestern. CAC's J.D. McLaughlin hit .538 with a home run, four RBIs and even stole five bases. Matt Aribal went 4-8 with a homer, four driven in and scored seven runs. Dayton Dooney hit three home runs and knocked in 10.

  Meanwhile, Yavapai swept two from Community Christian, with 11-1 and 11-2 victories. The Roughriders Amari Bartee went 3-4 and also walked twice while Daniel Martin was 4-8 over the two games.

    In addition, Arizona Western took two from Community Christian, 6-0 and 13-2. Juan Carlos Navarro went 3-5 in the two games, hit a home run and scored five times. Dylan Edwards was 4-7, also homered and drove in four runs.
