OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Arizona Western quarterback Cid Camanse Stevens threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns as the Matadors staked a claim to the share of the WSFL top spot with a 49-20 win over the Scottsdale Artichokes. The 6’3” 210-pound sophomore out of Honolulu, Hawaii, completed 11 of 19 passes and also ran for 25 yards on four carries.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Defensive end Christian Hill recorded three sacks for a total of 29 yards as the Gauchos remained undefeated with a 48-27 win over Mesa. Hill is a 6’6” 265-pound freshman from Staley, Missouri. His three sacks were part of an eight-sack performance by the Glendale defense.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – New Mexico Military Institute held Phoenix College to seven points on Saturday due in part to Rodney Holcomb winning the field position battle with his punting duties. The 6’4” 225-pound freshman out of Carlsbad, New Mexico, punted four times for an average of 42.8 yards per kick including one punt which went for 63 yards. Holcomb is the Bronco quarterback, completing 11 of 19 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns with one interception on Saturday.
