Douglas, AZ - The Arizona Western Matadors men's basketball team defeated the Cochise Apaches Monday night, 73-62, to win the NJCAA Region I, Div. I title.

It is the Matador's 21st region title in program history and their first since 2019.

The Matadors will head to Salt Lake City, Utah to play against the Salt Lake Bears in the West District Championship game on Saturday, March 11th. The winner will earn an automatic bid in the 2023 NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Championship.
