ACCAC places three on NJCAA Softball All-American teams

Three ACCAC Softball players were named NJCAA Softball All-Americans on Tuesday afternoon.

Camila Zepeda – Pima

Zepeda was named a Second Team NJCAA DI Softball All-American after leading the Aztecs to the NJCAA DI Softball Championship this past spring. Zepeda batted .473 with 17 home runs and 62 runs batted in. The sophomore doubled 21 times and stole 14 bags.

Danitza Hernandez - Phoenix

Danitza Hernandez was named a Second Team NJCAA DII Softball All-American, hitting .432 with 63 RBIs as a sophomore this season. Hernandez batted .432 with 17 home runs and 14 doubles to help Phoenix to an appearance at the NJCAA DII Softball Championship.

Dionna Leanio – South Mountain

Leanio earned Third Team NJCAA DII Softball All-American honors after leading the Cougars with a .521 batting average, driving in 10 runs. This past season, Leanio stole 23 bases in 25 chances as a freshman.
