Vanisha Sherrod, of Cochise, and Pima's Sierra Mich'l have been named ACCAC women's basketball Players of the Week for the period from Nov. 11-17.

  In three wins for the Apaches, Sherrod, a 5-9 sophomore Bourbonais, Ill., and Bourbonais Community High School averaged 12.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 steals and 2.0 assists. She had 16 points in a victory over Howard and connected on 15-27 (.556) shots from the floor. She won the honor in Division I.

  Mich'l, a 6-1 freshman from Desert Oasis H.S., in Las Vegas, scored 11 points in a 98-53 win over the Atlantic Christian JV. She also had 12 rebounds and a blocked shot. She was the Division II winner.
