Phoenix is off to a 3-0 start in ACCAC women's soccer.
The Bears won two last week, topping Scottsdale, 3-1 and Arizona Western, 4-2.
In the SCC contest, the Bears built a 3-0 lead as Daisy Menza collected a hat trick. Queenie Goff eventually scored the Artichokes' goal. Jennifer Alvillar made five saves.
Against Western, Giselle Gonzalez, Acacia Glenn, Zalma Torres and Menza tallied to build a 4-0 lead before Reheal Aka-Ety and Paulina Ferro scored for AZW.
Cochise is off to a 2-1 start. Two late goals did the trick for the Apaches in a 4-3 double-overtime win over Pima. First, Sofia Gallegos scored in the 89th minute to tie the game. Then, less than three minutes before what would have been the end of overtime, Maria Azerias hit the game-winner.
The Apaches also defeated Glendale, 6-1, as Azarias scored four goals and even added an assist.
