D1 Player of the Week: Stephany Orjuela - Sophomore Setter - Arizona Western
AWC had two wins against Yavapai last week. In those contests, Orjuela totaled 96 assists and 15 digs.
AWC head coach Lorayne Chandler on Orjuela, "Stephany did a great job of leading our offense this week. She has a great eye for the game & does a good job of holding the block. We had two tough matches back-to-back against Yavapai. Stephany averaged 12 assists/set. "
D2 Player of the Week: Megan Rogers - Sophomore Outside Hitter - Glendale
Rogers had 71 digs and 57 kills last week for the Gauchos.
Glendale head coach Lisa Stuck on Rogers, "Megan was had a fantastic week with significant wins over three DI opponents, hitting error free in three out of five matches. She was instrumental in huge wins over NJCAA #2 ranked CSI, Colby CC, USU Eastern, and Yavapai. She hit over .300 in all but one match for the week and had a game high 22 digs vs. 9th ranked Snow College."
