D1 Player of the Week: Sofia Lopez - Sophomore Libero - Arizona Western

In wins over Eastern Arizona and Pima, Lopez recorded 33 digs and 4 assists.

AWC head coach Lorayne Chandler on Lopez, "Sofia has been a huge asset to our team thus far. She played as an undersized OH last year, but has really come into her own in the defensive position this year. She did an exceptional job this week both on defense and serve receive. She has a good read on hitters and has the ability to move to the ball well. When we are looking for a perfect pass—she’s our go-to."
